    Why doesn't...

anyone hold Jumbo responsible for the Raiders loss last week? People have been on here for a week now crying about the loss and not one time has anyone blamed coach adams. Yes I'm disappointed in the loss and I blame the coach for the bad decisions made in the last 4 min after Burton took the lead. But we had our chances the last 3 years so what else can be said? I wish I hadn't read this board this week because until then I was rooting for the wave to go on and win it all. Now thanks to the know it all folks over in the county where they pump sunshine in and pregnant teenagers out I hope they get DESTROYED!!!

You can blame coaches after every loss and I am sure Coach Adams feels the same. Sure he could have done somethings different, I always love bleachercoaches.

    Re: Why doesn't...

Dude you are an idiot, the coaching staff could have done some things different and I am sure they are second guessing themselves on some calls because all coaches do. Like UTVols2 said, bleachercoaches are awesome. And the comments about Clintwood, uncalled for, I for one and pulling for the Greenwave, I have many friends in that area and not all people from Norton hope they lose.

    Re: Why doesn't...

This has to be the most asinine post I have seen since Clintwood defeated Burton. The fact that kids are having kids is a major problem at all area schools, you should check your facts before posting stupid comments like that. Burton has a few of them too including one couple of players so please don't go there. (yes they don't get pregnant on their own)

The Regionals should show us all that ANY team can be beaten on any given day, plain and simple. Face it there were no bad calls, pretty good play calling, no one to blame really. The most Burton would be guilty of would be looking beyond the task at hand, taking for granted that you will be able to beat an opponent for a second time with little difficulty will often bite you in the butt if you are not careful. I think Burton took their eyes off the task at hand and feel short that day.

To blame it on Clintwood dropping to D1, or Godsey not being 100%, or Coleman being out, is asinine for the most part. We at Burton must stop laying blame on everyone or everything else has honestly got to stop, and it's not just this year. Year in and year out there is always some excuse, last year it was "the horrible call that cost us the State Title", hello Riverheads turned over the ball way too much for Burton to allow it to come down to that call, it never should have been a factor. Before that it was "that school has 700 more kids than we do", it's not fair, well life is not fair.

I am proud of all Burton has accomplished over the last few years and for the seniors I truly hate how things turned out for them, but it's time to let it go and move on. Until we can stop trying to blame the world for everything bad that happens and realize that it takes hard work, a deep respect for the game and your opponent, and a sense of discipline that is utterly lacking today in most area teams, we are not going to move forward.

I just couldn't read this and not put my two cents worth in as it's embarrassing as a Burton supporter and Parent to have this type of representation on here. Not all are like this and I am glad we do have some on here setting the record straight.

UTVOLS2 you try so hard to help out our reputation on here, sorry that some are still making it very difficult for you...hope you and boney can settle your differences over some hot chocolate this holiday season...LOL J/K
